Pregnancy

~Prenatal appointments. Once every 4 weeks from 15+ weeks, once every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks and weekly from 36 weeks on. All appointments in office except 36,41,42 weeks, the birth, 24 hours, 1&2 week postpartum appointments being at your home. Myofascial release and Cranial Sacral Therapy as needed during these appointments for motherbaby, Pregnancy-6 weeks postpartum CST are included in your midwifery support.

~Family centered care with appointments that are usually 1 hour.

~Prenatal care appointments include checking your blood pressure, pulse, doing a urinalysis, Fetal heart tones, uterine growth, fetal position and growth, hemoglobin, nutrition, physical changes.

~Availability to my personal cell phone number for any concerns you have during your pregnancy. Non-emergencies M-F 9-5. Urgent issues 24/7

~Me being on call 24/7 once you reach 36 weeks.

~Your birth and immediate after care usually 3-4 hours after the birth in your home.

~Postpartum visits up to 6 weeks 

~Birth certificate and social security information filing.

~Critical congenital heart defect screening and hearing screening.

~Breastfeeding support.

~Birth pool use. (You must purchase your own liner and a new hose.)

Your Team: I attend all births with an assistant or another midwife. There are times when this is not possible, if someone is sick or at another birth. You will meet anyone who is to be at your birth, unless it is an emergency. The only time this may not be possible is if I must call in another midwife because I am at another birth. I will remain in close contact with you if there is a need to call in another midwife.
